When the land and the city merge, a new nature arises
that bares traces of history, politics, and capitalism. The nine casts are made from places in Irvine where the land was altered for the military then transformed to preserve nature as farms or recreational parks, but are now being renovated into housing units. The casts
work as the physical representation of the site, while the images transferred on top work as the visual representation of the same.
